iPhone Thief Punches Straphanger at 163rd Street C Train Station, Cops Say

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Police are asking for help identifying a suspect in a robbery that occurred in a Washington Heights subway station.

Police say the suspect approached a 50-year-old man at approximately 11:30 a.m. on March 21st at the C train station at 163rd and St. Nicholas Avenue and asked for the time. The suspect then punched the victim in the face and stole his iPhone.

The suspect is described as a hispanic male in his twenties.
