Cigar-and-Whiskey Fest Coming to Long Island City's Studio Square

LONG ISLAND CITY — Get ready for a smokin' good time.

Queens beer hall and event space Studio Square will be smoking out its large outdoor garden next month for its first ever cigar and whiskey festival.

The "Smoke," fest will feature stogies from cigar-maker Rocky Patel, whiskey tasting stations, an open bar, live music and all-you-can-eat barbeque.

Studio Square marketing manager Jennifer Baker said they decided to throw bash after noticing a rise in the number of cigar clubs in New York City.

"It's very in demand right now — whiskey, bourbon, cigars," she said. "It's kind of taken on this whole new entity."

Tickets for the May 18 event — which is being touted by Studio Square as a good early Father's Day gift — are one sale online. Tickets purchased before May 1 are $99 and groups of five who sign up can get a 10 percent discount.

Each patron will get a custom ostrich-skin travel cigar case with four Rocky Patel cigars inside,  and unlimited tastings of Jameson, Glenlivet and Chivas Regal whiskeys.
