BUSHWICK — After packing up her works and abandoning the "saturated" art scene near the Morgan Avenue L train station, gallerist Nyssa Frank has embarked on her cross-neighborhood migration farther out in Bushwick.
Almost overnight, Frank has started carving out her new niche — this time with the help of music and teens who live just down the street.
"We can have live music and be as loud as we want, we don't have to worry about neighbors," Frank said of the Living Gallery's new location on Broadway by the Kosciuszko Street J station. "All the kids I work with live really close to here."
Frank, whose former space in the Loom arts collective was just one room with thin walls abutting other businesses, said previously she felt "redundant just by being another gallery" in the artist mecca and wanted "to reach a broader community that's more diverse."
