QUEENS — Cops have arrested a man accused of a string of grand larcenies targeting Queens drivers with a phony flat tire scheme.

Mario Gutierrez, 50, of College Point, was arrested in relation to four incidents which took place between August and March, according to the NYPD.

Police had been looking for three men in connection to the scam. The suspects struck more than a dozen times in Queens and also in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

In each incident, one of the suspects would distract the victim by telling them their car had a flat tire, police said. When the victim goes to check, another man would steal items from the car.

The suspects often posed as construction workers or offered to help the victim change their flat, cops said.

It's unclear if Gutierrez is one of the two men whose image was previously released by police in connection with the crimes.

The NYPD says the investigation is ongoing.
