Bronx Man Arrested After Four Sexual Attacks, Cops Say

THE BRONX — A 33-year-old Bronx man has been arrested for violent sexual assaults across the borough since late February, according to the NYPD.

Miguel Lopez was taken into custody Wednesday on charges of sexual assault, robbery, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon stemming from four sexual attacks, cops said.

In one instance, Lopez — while wearing a ski mask — allegedly came up behind a woman along Westchester Avenue about 3:30 a.m. on March 24, and shoved her to the ground. He then repeatedly punched her in the face and sexually assaulted her, cops said.

A week later about 6 a.m., he followed a man and a woman into their Bedford Park apartment building where he robbed them at knifepoint, police said. He then followed the 40-year-old woman to her door, forced his way in, and raped her, according to the NYPD.

Lopez repeatedly punched and sexually assaulted women two other attacks on Feb. 24 and March 30, cops said.
