SOHO — Greene Street will soon have a little more joie de vivre if French fashion house Saint Laurent opens on Greene Street, as reported by shopping site Racked.com.

According to the site, a contractor confirmed that the luxury label is preparing to open at 80 Greene Street, across the street from luxury lingerie purveyor Kiki de Montparnasse.

"This is a change of plans for the brand, which for years had staked a claim to another Soho location on Mercer Street," Racked wrote. "Those plans now appear to be scrapped."

Representatives from Saint Laurent, which was previously known as Yves Saint Laurent, after the vanguard designer who founded the Parisian fashion house, did not respond to requests for comment.
