Bike Parking Slated for Williamsburg Cinemas and Marlow and Sons

WILLIAMSBURG — Cyclists might soon spin to more dinner-and-movie dates, with two-wheeler parking slated for North Brooklyn's biggest cinema and a nearby top eatery.

The 1,000-seat Williamsburg Cinemas and the oyster-slinging cafe Marlow and Sons are both on their way to adding bike spots, a Department of Transportation spokesman said. And with a corral proposed for Frost Street at Meeker Avenue as well, the entire plan would add 45 bike slots to Williamsburg.

The corrals, which have been approved by the transportation committee of Williamsburg's Community Board 1, go to the full board for approval later this month. Six car parking spots would be sacrificed for the plan.

Recently Roberta's Pizza and Kinfolk Studios have also pushed to add bike corrals in front of their establishments.
