RICHMOND HILL — Five people were injured, two seriously, when an inferno engulfed the second floor of a Queens home early Friday, an FDNY spokesman said.

The blaze broke out at 107-12 Jamaica Ave. about 1 a.m., fire officials said.

Two of the victims were seriously hurt and rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, the spokesman said. Their injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, he added.

Three others, including two firefighters, suffered minor injuries and were also taken to the hospital, fire officials said.

The cause of fire, which was brought under control 45 minutes later, is still under investigation, the spokesman said.
