MASPETH — A 22-year-old woman died late Tuesday night after an SUV struck her about six blocks from her home near the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, cops said.
Juliana Busto, of 46th Street, was trying to walk across Laurel Hill Boulevard inside the crosswalk at 47th Street when the westbound 2002 Chevy Avalanche struck her about 11:15 p.m., according to the NYPD.
She was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital Center where she was pronounced dead, police said.
The Chevy's driver stayed on the scene and an investigation is ongoing, cops said.
