Suspect on Crutches Steals Laptop From Columbia Building, Police Say

MANHATTAN — A man on crutches swiped a laptop from a Columbia University building earlier this month, police said.

The suspect, who used a pair of crutches to walk, stole a bag containing the laptop from 420 W. 118th St., which houses Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs, about 2 p.m. March 6, the NYPD said.

Police described the suspect as a man last seen with crutches and wearing a gray hat.
