Forest Hills Restaurant Wants to Spread Easter Fun with Egg Hunt

QUEENS — A Forest Hills restaurant wants to spread some Easter joy by hosting an egg hunt.

My Kitchen, at 106-17 Metropolitan Ave., will organize the event in its backyard, along with a special Easter brunch and dinner.

“I used to do it with my daughter,” said Dhanny Palma, one of the owners. “She is now 17, but at least we still do the egg coloring.”

Palma said that egg coloring would be difficult to do at a restaurant so they decided to organize an egg hunt for people who “want to take the kids out and have a good Easter experience.”

The restaurant has a 100-seat outdoor garden which on Easter Day will be decorated with boxes and barrels where eggs will be hidden, Palma said.

Palma said there will also be an Easter menu which will include an omelet station during brunch time. A dinner buffet will include a carving station that will offer roasted rosemary lamb and honey ham.

The Easter egg hunt will take place at each seating, Palma said.
