OAKLAND GARDENS — A 55-year-old woman died Thursday evening after the rear portion of a bus swung into her while making a turn, according to the NYPD.
The QM3 was traveling west on 73rd Avenue and turned left onto Springfield Boulevard about 7:30 p.m. when the back section of the bus struck the woman, police said.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was rushed to Long Island Jewish Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, cops said.
Police said they were investigating whether any criminality was involved.
