ASTORIA — Police are searching for three men suspected of robbing an elderly man at gunpoint in Queens after they entered a business carrying large cardboard boxes, according to the NYPD.

Cops said the suspects struck Saturday afternoon, entering a commercial property on 24th Street in Astoria off 35th Avenue. The men entered the building holding cardboard boxes, then held up a 78-year-old victim at gunpoint and demanded money, police said. The victim escaped with minor injuries, cops said.

The robbers took off with an unknown amount of cash, cops said. The men appeared to be in their 20s and were all seen wearing hoodies and jackets. Two of the suspects are described as black and the other, who was wielding the gun, is described as Hispanic, according to police.
