UNIONPORT — A 3-month-old infant was found unresponsive Saturday morning by police responding to a 911 call to the little girl's home, police said.
Fiona Hern was unconscious at 10:26 a.m. when police responded to the building at Lafayette Avenue near White Plains Road, cops said.
Hern was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center and declared dead at 10:55 p.m., police said.
A complete medical examiner's report was pending further study, following an initial report with inconclusive results, a spokeswoman said. The ME was expected to determine the cause of death later in the week, and a police investigation was ongoing, cops said.
