WOODHAVEN — A drunken Queens motorist was arrested after mowing down an elderly man on Jamaica Avenue Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Viveshdyal Thakoordyal, 45, was behind the wheel of a maroon Nissan Pathfinder headed east on Jamaica Avenue when he slammed into John Eberling, 76, as he crossed the avenue near 80th Street about 4:30 p.m., according to the NYPD.

Eberling was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center just three miles away, but was pronounced dead there, cops said.

Police took Thakoordyal into custody at the scene and charged him with driving while intoxicated and vehicular manslaughter.
