Staten Island Mugger Robbed Man at Gunpoint, Cops Say

CLIFTON — Cops are looking for a man they said robbed his victim at gunpoint on a Staten Island street.

The suspect approached his victim outside 295 Tompkins Avenue, in Clifton, at about 10 p.m. on Wednesday. He drew a weapon and told him to empty his pockets, police said.

The mugger ran off after the robbery. No injuries were reported.

Police said the suspect was about 6-feet-tall and was wearing a black jacket, black hat and had wrapped a black scarf over his face, though surveillance footage released by the NYPD shows him in a bright red jacket with a grey cap.
