LINCOLN SQUARE —For Katherine Heigl, New York has more style than Los Angeles.
“I feel like with this,” she said at the Jenny Packham show, gesturing to the catwalk. “It’s all about the fashion.
"Here you get to be a little more risky and you get to try things. In LA, you’ve got to play it safe. It’s about if you mess up."
Still, she admitted she is challenged by fashion. “I’m terrible — I’m fashion clueless,” she said. “I’ve messed up plenty.”
Selita Ebanks is a homebody. When she’s not on a red carpet or working, she's dedicated to domesticity.
“I cook and clean,” she admitted at the Badgley Mischka show. “I’m an OCD kind of lady. I love to cook anything Caribbean, Italian food, pastas. I like to make everything from scratch.“
Her favorite food? “Chocolate fudge cake, in small portions. Every girl needs a chocolate fudge cake and a nice glass of red wine."
Speaking of food, Martha Stewart supports her friend, designer Dennis Basso, because they have cooked together.
“He came on my show to cook,” she said. “I don’t remember what, but he’ll remember.”
Also at Basso’s show was the rarely-seen-at-fashion-week Joan Collins. Why? “I love his sables,” she said. “They’re really nice.”
Carmen Electra was at Badgley Mischka; Lucy and Matt Damon, Brooke Shields, Vanessa Hudgens and Taraji P. Henson at Naeem Khan; Joan Rivers, Carol Alt, Star Jones and every blonde socialite on the Upper East Side at Dennis Basso; Oscar de la Renta; Jada Pinkett Smith at Vera Wang and Narciso Rodriguez.
