Shailene Woodley, Eve and Connie Britton Shine at Fashion Week

LINCOLN SQUARE — Nigel Barker is getting plenty of practice at dealing with women.

As the host of the new model competition show “The Face,” he is the only man in the cast of 24, which includes Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha.

“The estrogen levels are enormously high,” he explained at the Jill Stuart show Saturday. “There’s a lot of negotiating — sometimes refereeing. I’ve turned out being the paternal figure, the shoulder to cry on and at the same time, the veteran in this genre.”

And then there’s the famously difficult Campbell, whom Barker has nothing but compliments for.

“For Naomi, it was uncomfortable, but she embraced it and worked enormously hard. She was there 38 days straight,” he said.

So after all that, Barker should have no trouble handling his dramatic 4-year-old daughter, right?

“I tell you what,” Barker said, "my daughter, she might as well be another supermodel.”

Actress Shailene Woodley from “The Descendants” was a highly unlikely guest at a fashion show on Saturday.

“I hate shopping and I don’t buy anything new,” she admitted at the Rebecca Taylor show in the Meatpacking District. “It’s a rule for myself. I am a recycler for the most part.” Though, she added, “I do buy some new Lululemon pants every now and again.”

Woodley even composts her food scraps, but in a creative way.

“I live in a small studio,” she explained, that has no space for composting, “So I’ve found some land. I don’t know who it belongs to, but I cross the river and hike a mountain and do my composting there,” she said. “Hopefully, they do not notice.” Hopefully...

Speaking of natural food, Eve chose the wrong time to go on a clean eating kick.

“It’s hard when you’re busy,” the rapper said at the Prabal Gurung show at the St. John Center downtown, one of a handful she’s attended this week. “I’m on a program that I have to drink three juices a day and eat clean. It’s called ReBoot,” she explained, adding, “I’m a sugar fiend — any cookie or cake, and I’m a salty-sweet girl. Popcorn and M&M's makes me happy.”

Also in the front row were actresses Olivia Thirlby and Analeigh Tipton.

Connie Britton was shopping from the front row of Monique Lhuillier’s show at Lincoln Center Saturday night, furiously snapping pictures of the emerald green dresses.

"I’m obsessed with emerald green,” she said. “I hope I have the privilege of wearing one of these dresses.”

She was joined in the front row by Brad Goreski and Bridget Moynahan.

Skipping the catwalk at Alexander Wang this season was model Liberty Ross, the wife of director Rupert Sanders, best known for his off-screen exploits with Kristen Stewart. Instead, she sedately took in his show from the front row. Class act.
