WEST FARMS — A man who was shot in the head in the Bronx Thursday died in the hospital on Sunday, officials said.
Daryl Fontnel, 33, was shot in front of 2132 Mohegan Ave. near Bronx Park on Jan. 31, police said.
He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical but stable condition, but died four days later.
An NYPD spokesman said three arrests have been made in connection to the incident. Hector Santos, 32, and Ruben Velez, 28, from the Bronx, and Hector Lebron, 41, from the Upper West Side, were arrested.
Santos and Lebron were charged with attempted murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon, the NYPD spokesman said. Velez was charged with attempted murder and assault. They are due in court on Wednesday.
