Video Shows Teens Who Took Cellphone from 12-Year-Old, Cops Say

QUEENS — Cops are looking for two muggers who stole a smartphone from a 12-year-old boy in broad daylight, after pinning the victim up against a tree in Ozone Park.

The teen was walking on 111th Street, close to Liberty Avenue, on Jan. 31 at 4 p.m., when the suspects approached him from behind.

Police said they then pinned the victim up against a tree and demanded his phone.

The teen handed over his Samsung Galaxy and the muggers fled, cops said.

There were no reported injuries.

According to cops, the alleged muggers, spotted on surveillance tape, are in their late teens. One of them was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants and had a gray backpack.

The other suspect was wearing a yellow sweatshirt with the number 33 on the front, dark pants and had a black backpack.
