OZONE PARK — A Queens man was killed Saturday night after he lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a tree, police said.
Winston Joseph, 61, of Bayswater in the Rockaways, had to be extricated from his white Toyota Camry at 10:10 p.m. after a caller reported the accident at South Conduit Boulevard and Linden Boulevard to 911, police said.
Joseph was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, but declared dead on arrival. Police said he was found behind the wheel and had been driving the Camry by himself, when he lost control. No other vehicles were involved, police said.
An investigation is ongoing, but police said there does not appear to be criminality in the crash.
