GREENWICH VILLAGE — Two men have been arrested and others are being sought after a savage attack on a 24-year-old man on MacDougal Street over the weekend, authorities said.

Hatem Farsakh, 24, and Sherif Rizk, 22, were part of a group that got into an argument with the victim — whom sources identified as Kevin McCarron — on MacDougal Street Sunday about 5 a.m., according to the NYPD.

When the beef escalated, the assailants pounced on McCarron with a bat and two other weapons, according to sources and court documents.

McCarron, 24, was taken to New York Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

The attackers fractured his skull and left him swollen and badly bleeding, according to court documents.

Farsakh, who lives in Brooklyn, has been charged with attempted murder, assault and gang assault, police said. He was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court Tuesday and due back in court Friday.

Rizk was arrested Wednesday morning. Charges against him were pending, police said.

Six other suspects are believed to have participated in the attack, according to the District Attorney's office.
