HAMILTON HEIGHTS — An early morning fire broke out in P.S. 153 Monday, officials said.
The blaze at the Amsterdam Avenue school sparked about 2:40 a.m. in a single room on the third floor, education and FDNY officials said.
No one was injured in the blaze and it was brought under control about 30 minutes later, fire officials said.
Regular school hours were expected to resume Monday morning, a Department of Education spokeswoman said.
