UNIONPORT — A woman was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle on Ellis Avenue Thursday morning, an FDNY spokesman said.
The incident occurred near Havemeyer Avenue about 9:30 a.m., the fire spokesman said.
The woman was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where she was listed in serious but stable condition, the spokesman said.
The circumstances of the incident remain unclear.
