RIDGEWOOD — A school bus carrying special needs students was rear-ended Wednesday morning near Metropolitan Avenue, witnesses and officials said.
The white bus was struck from behind by a black car near about 9 a.m. near Mt. Olivet Crescent, witnesses and FDNY officials said.
No one appeared to be injured in the accident, fire officials said.
Meanwhile, another school bus was involved in an accident near Victory Boulevard and North Gannon Avenue on Staten Island, fire officials said.
Another vehicle side-swiped the bus, which was carrying 40 students from PS 13. Nobody was injured, according to a Department of Education spokeswoman.
