MIDWOOD — A fire broke out in Midwood High School early Tuesday morning, an FDNY spokesman said.
The fire erupted in the fourth floor of the school located at 2839 Bedford Ave., near Glenwood Avenue, at 7:50 a.m., the spokesman said.
No one was injured in the fire, officials said. Students and staff had to be evacuated, Department of Education officials said.
The blaze was brought under control about 20 minutes later, a fire spokesman said.
The students were allowed to return to class, the DOE said.
