LOWER EAST SIDE — A Brooklyn-based police sergeant was arrested while off-duty in the Lower East Side for punching another person in the face, an NYPD spokesman said. 

Besemah Rogers, 42, was arrested after she got into an argument with another person and assaulted them, police said. 

Rogers is a sergeant in a Brooklyn precinct, police said.
