Queens Man Killed in Long Island Car Crash

NORTH AMITYVILLE — An Ozone Park man was killed in a car crash on Long Island early Monday morning, officials said.

Teeluckdharrie Maraj, 47, was driving south on Route 110 near Ritter Avenue in North Amityville about 6 a.m. when his car veered off the road and slammed into a utility pole, Suffolk County police said in a statement.

Maraj, who lived at 104-30 105th St. in Queens, was rushed to St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.

Long Island police are asking anyone with information about the accident to call 631-854-8152.
