FOREST HILLS — A 53-year-old man was killed early Thursday when he lost control of the car he was driving on the Grand Central Parkway, police said.
The victim was behind the wheel of a 2011 Honda Accord in the eastbound lanes of the highway when at about 3:20 a.m. he struck a median near the Jackie Robinson Parkway interchange, the NYPD said.
After losing control of the vehicle, the driver careened into an eastbound 2007 Pontiac sedan before slamming into another median, police said.
Paramedics rushed to the highway and transported the man to New York Hospital-Queens, where he died, police said.
The driver of the Pontiac, who cops did not identify, was not injured.
The NYPD said there was no criminality in the accident, but that cops were still investigating.
