Police Seek Man Who Tried to Rob Midtown Bank

MIDTOWN — Police are looking for a man who tried to rob a Midtown bank on Halloween.

The suspect walked into the Wells Fargo bank at 535 Seventh Ave. at 39th Street about 1:45 p.m. Oct. 31 and handed the teller a note demanding money, police said.

However, the man left without getting any cash, police said.

Police described the suspect as a 28-to-35-year-old man, 5-foot-9, 180 pounds, last seen wearing glasses and a large hat and carrying a Duane Reade "Urban Luggage" bag.
