WILLIAMSBURG — A bicycle rider was struck by a car Monday and rushed to the hospital, officials said.

The male victim, 57, was hit near the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Wallabout Street at 5:37 p.m. Rescuers found him bleeding from the mouth, and he was transported to Kings County Hospital.

The victim's condition was not known, and police did not immediately have information regarding the driver or the vehicle that hit the cyclist.
