MIDTOWN — Cops are asking for the public's help to track down an alleged thief who robbed a Third Avenue bank at gunpoint on Tuesday.
The man allegedly robbed the Capitol One Bank at 750 Third Ave. about 2:50 p.m., police said.
Armed with a black handgun, the robber passed a note to a teller and demanded cash, police said.
He fled the bank with an undetermined amount of cash, NYPD officials added.
No one was injured.
Cops said the robber is about 5 feet 9 inches tall.
