MIDTOWN — A construction worker was injured after a concrete wall collapsed inside a construction site near Herald Square, officials said.

The incident took place around 2 p.m. Monday, when part of a wall inside a vacant storefront on Sixth Avenue near West 32nd Street collapsed, a fire spokesman said.

One worker was hurt and was sent to Bellevue Hospital with minor injuries, he added.

Investigators from the Department of Buildings were on the scene shortly after the accident and posted a partial stop work order on the site, prohibiting construction work.

The DOB did not immediately respond to a request for comment about what violations would be issued as a result of the accident.

The building, located on a block with a Starbucks and a GNC, is also home to The Continental, a luxury apartment building.
