BUSHWICK — A 26-year-old bicyclist died in an accident at Metropolitan Avenue early Monday, the apparent victim of a hit-and-run, police sources said.
Cops received a 911 call about a vehicle hitting a man at the intersection of Metropolitan and Stewart avenues at 5:16 a.m., police said.
Emergency crews round the man laying on the ground with head injuries, police said.
He was rushed to Woodhull Medical Center, where he died.
The man, a Brooklyn resident, has not been identified pending notification of his family, police said.
The vehicle did not remain on the scene. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
