New Juicery Set to Open on Fulton Street

LOWER MANHATTAN — A grab and go healthy juice store is getting ready to open on Fulton Street.

Magic Mix Juicery began construction this week at 102 Fulton St. and is set to open its first store in mid-November.

"I live down here myself, and I was looking for some healthy eating options apart from a salad bar," said Jil Larsen, the president and founder of the company.  "I'm looking forward to the catering to all of the corporations and families in the luxury high rises, and to the tourists. There's so much going on here."

The smoothies will be prepared with mixed greens and apple slices in a Norwalk Juice Press Larsen said, noting that patrons can also combine other flavors.

She added that the juicery will offer a variety of vegan and gluten free dry goods including kale chips, sprouted bagels, breakfast bowls with coconut yogurt and goji berries, and other breakfast and lunch dishes prepared daily by in-house chef Lawrence Goldberg.

Larsen said she understands the needs of the downtown clientele and plans to run a store that accommodates them.

"I'm looking for a business where people don't have to stand in line," she said. "I don't want them to have to wait."
