MANHATTAN — A cab driver struck the rear of a motorcycle at Harlem intersection Saturday, throwing the driver off his bike and pinning him against a tour bus stopped at the light, police said.

The victim, Juan Velez, 53, of Mount Vernon, N.Y., was riding a Yamaha motorcycle eastbound and at a stop at the intersection of West 125th Street and Lenox Avenue when a cab driver, 26, behind the wheel of a yellow Ford taxi cab struck him from behind while approaching the intersection, cops said.

Velez was pinned between the cab and a City Sights tour bus, police said, until rescuers arrived and he was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where the Velez was pronounced dead on arrival.

Both the tour bus operator and the cab driver remained on the scene, and police said an investigation was ongoing.
