Lady Gaga Gets Head Tattoo at Guggenheim for Perfume Launch

By Lisa Marsh | September 14, 2012 11:16am

UPPER EAST SIDE — Talk about a party favor.

Lady Gaga turned the Guggenheim Museum into an inpromptu tattoo parlor last night for her perfume launch, getting the image of a winged angel inked onto the back of her head, which she shaved in honor of photographer Terry Richardson's mother, who passed away earlier this week.

The event marked the launch of Gaga's new fragrance FAME, touted as the first-ever black eau de parfum, and also served as a wrap to New York's Fashion Week festivites.

Gaga's red carpet was filled with an eclectic cast of characters. Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Yoko Ono, designers Alexander Wang and Marc Jacobs, models Crystal Renn and Jessica Stam, bon vivant Douglas Friedman and more donned outlandish outfits for the fete.

Curiously, Gaga herself did not walk the red carpet, choosing instead to pull up to the party in an open convertible, parade-style, and simply walk into the party chased by photographers.
