MEATPACKING DISTRICT — The smash show "Girls" has some heavy-hitting fans.

Tennis star Serena Williams dropped by to get a glimpse during filming of the Emmy-nominated series in the trendy Meatpacking District Tuesday night.

Actress Allison Williams, who plays "Marnie" in the HBO comedy about twentysomething women living and loving in New York City, shot a scene with Christopher Abbott at the corner of Greenwich and Little West 12th streets.

The show, the brainchild of writer/director/actress Lena Dunham, has been filming all across the city recently, from Fort Greene to Grand Central.

Now entering its second season, "Girls" was nominated for five Emmy awards in July, including Outstading Comedy and Outstanding Lead Actress for Dunham.

The series follows the trials and tribulations of four female friends living in Brooklyn, where the majority of the first season took place.
