Luxury Long Island City Waterfront High-Rise Nears Completion

HUNTERS POINT — It's the height of luxury.

The sprawling TF Cornerstone complex on the Hunters Point waterfront, which offers sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline, has just topped out at 41 stories — the latest in a series of high-rise developments in the area, the developer announced.

The skyscraper, at 4545 Center Blvd., is the fifth and largest of six planned buildings from the developer along the LIC waterfront, part of a complex known as EastCoast LIC. Once complete, the buildings will boast 2,615 rental units and 184 condominiums.

The building at 4545 Center Blvd. will have 820 apartment units — including studios, one-, two- and three-bedrooms — once it opens in April 2013.

“This will be the social hub of the EastCoast community,” the company wrote on its website.

The building will feature a lobby with a concierge, resident lounge and three fitness centers, according to the developer.

There will also be a children's playroom, tennis and volleyball courts, a dog run, a reflecting pool, and 1,000 parking spaces.

Each of the apartments will feature hardwood floors, natural stone countertops and stainless steel kitchen appliances.

It’s not clear how much the apartments will cost. In another TF Cornerstone building at 4540 Center Boulevard, which opened for leasing in June 2012, studios start at $2100, 1-bedrooms at $2400 and 2-bedrooms at $3780.

The sixth building — currently under construction — will be 25-stories high. It’s also scheduled to open next year.
