QUEENS — Police uncovered a cache of weapons in an Astoria apartment Friday and arrested the 53-year-old man accused of amassing them.

Police investigating a report of gunshots fired into the air last Sunday in front of 20-11 Shore Boulevard searched the home Friday and found a .40 caliber Glock firearm, a 9mm firearm, 10,537 rounds of ammunition, 32 machetes and 60 knives, the NYPD said.

Officers also found 20 .40 caliber magazines, six high-capacity rifle magazines, 16 air pistols, one air rifle, seven Tasers, eight brass knuckles, nine batons and 10 pairs of handcuffs, police said.

Police arrested Michael Millazzo, who lives in the apartment, and charged him with criminal use of a firearm, reckless endangerment and 55 counts of criminal possession of a weapon, the NYPD said.

The NYPD confiscated the weapons.
