First Queens Chipotle Coming to Forest Hills

By Nigel Chiwaya | August 17, 2012 5:01pm

OPENINGS

Chipotle Mexican Grill, the popular burrito chain, will open up it's first Queens location on Austin Street, a Department of Buildings aplication shows.

The restaurant will set up shop at 70-30 Austin St., the former home of Martha's Country Bakery. Martha's moved to a bigger location next door in June.

The application, first spotted by twitter user @Foresthills72, was filed on July 27 and lists under its job description: "Provide structural framing design for HVAC support, floor openings and roof openings for a Chipotle Mexican Grill."

Robin Kemper, the listed applicant of record, confirmed to DNAInfo.com that the restuarant was indeed going to open in the neighborhood, although she was unable to list an opening date.

Red Mango Hiring: A former off-track betting location on Queens Boulevard and 70th Road is in the process of being converted to a Red Mango frozen yogurt store. While the store does not list an opening date, the location has posted help wanted signs on the front door. The store's owners did not immediately respond to an email requesting comment.
