
STATEN ISLAND — A two-alarm fire broke out in a Staten Island home Friday evening, the FDNY said.
Twenty-five units with more than 100 firefighters responded to the blaze at 47 Metcalfe St. just after 7 p.m. Friday, an FDNY spokesman said.
When the firefighters arrived, they found the flames had spread throughout the two-story house, the FDNY spokesman said.
The firefighters brought the blaze under control at 7:52 p.m., the FDNY said.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation Friday evening.
The FDNY asked the Department of Buildings to check the house's structural stability following the fire, according to online documents.
