NEW YORK — Police are searching for a man wanted for committing 11 robberies at gunpoint in Queens.

Cops have identified the suspect as 28-year-old Darren Hicks, who has allegedly targeted store employees and delivery truck drivers throughout several neighborhoods in Queens since early July.

The first incident took place on July 3 just before 3 p.m., when Hicks allegedly approached the driver of a Pepsi delivery truck in front of a J&C Grocery store on Guy R. Brewer Boulevard in Jamaica. Hicks allegedly showed the driver a black semiautomatic handgun and demanded cash before fleeing in a two-door Honda Accord.

Around 10:15 p.m. on July 9, Hicks allegedly repeated the same pattern — this time showing the black semiautomatic handgun to an employee working at a Howard Johnson Inn on Rockaway Boulevard in South Jamaica and demanding cash.

The following day, just before midnight, Hicks allegedly entered a Subway restaurant at 252-18 Rockaway Boulevard in Rosedale, jumped behind the counter and stole an employee’s wallet and cash from the register.

On July 15 around 6:10 p.m., Hicks allegedly targeted an employee working in the Cambria Car Wash and Detailing Center at 208-15 Linden Boulevard in Cambria Heights, making off with cash from the register.

On July 17 and 18, Hicks allegedly robbed delivery drivers at a C-Town Supermarket at 195-09 Jamaica Avenue in Hollis and at the intersection of 114th Drive and Farmers Boulevard in St. Albans. Police said Hicks stole a wallet, cash and cell phones. Hicks allegedly left C-Town on foot and fled the St. Albans intersection in a white Ford Focus.

A few days later, on July 21, Hicks allegedly struck twice within four hours, robbing a delivery driver at the Farmbria Food Center at the intersection of Linden Boulevard and 219th Street and an employee working at the Fine Fare Supermarket at 199-11 Hollis Avenue.

On July 24, around 2:30 p.m., Hicks allegedly targeted the driver of a Red Bull delivery truck at the intersection of Hillside Avenue and 179th Street in Jamaica.

Then, on Aug. 2, Hicks allegedly robbed two delivery truck drivers within a half hour of each other. The first incident took place around 11:30 a.m. outside the Key Food Supermarket at 213-22 Jamaica Avenue in Queens Village. The second happened around noon in front of the Rite Aid drugstore at 222-14 Linden Boulevard in Cambria Heights.

Police said Hicks is 28 years old, stands about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs between 150 and 180 pounds.
