Robert Pattinson Braves Red Carpet for 'Cosmopolis' Premiere

By Lisa Marsh | August 14, 2012 8:53am

MIDTOWN — Recently spurned heartthrob Robert Pattinson looks no worse for the wear.

Though the "Twilight" star is weathering the biggest tabloid scandal of the moment, after girlfriend Kristen Stewart admitted to cheating on him, Pattinson appeared relaxed and ready for action on the red carpet Monday evening at the New York premiere of "Cosmopolis" at the Museum of Modern Art.

The film, directed by David Cronenberg, features Pattinson as a young billionaire, traveling at a snail's pace across New York in his fully outfitted stretch limousine for a haircut. Complications ensue ranging from traffic caused by the visiting president, a bomb blast and a water main break, to visits from several of his advisors en route. The film is based on a Don DeLillo book of the same name.

Co-stars including Sarah Gadin, Paul Giamatti, Emily Hampshire and Kevin Durand attended the premiere along with Cronenberg, actor Stanley Tucci, Mayor Bloomberg's daughter Georgina, Regis Philbin, and musicians K'naan, MGMT and Matt & Kim.
