Bobbi Brown to Open Cosmetics Pop-Up Shop in Grand Central

By Mary Johnson | August 14, 2012 8:04pm

MIDTOWN — Celebrity makeup artist Bobbi Brown is preparing to launch a cosmetics pop-up shop inside Grand Central Terminal.

The pop-up — the brand’s first ever such endeavor — will occupy 800 square feet inside the terminal’s Lexington Passage and is expected to remain open from Aug. 20 through January of 2013.

“A broad cross-section of women pass through Grand Central every day,” Brown said in a statement. “So it is the perfect location to be in the middle of all of the excitement and capture women on the go.”

The pop-up shop will carry Bobbi Brown’s entire collection of color cosmetics, fragrance and skin care, with a full-time staff of five make-up artists who will offer makeup lessons and Brown's signature five-minute "instant pretty" touch ups.

To celebrate the grand opening on Aug. 20, Brown’s personal manicurist will offer 10-minute manicures to customers on a first-come-first serve basis.

Beginning Aug. 20, the pop-up shop will be open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
