THE BRONX — Police are hunting for three men involved in a robbery in The Bronx that left a 10-month-old child injured.
The incident took place on University Avenue around 9:50 a.m. on July 25. Police did not specify the exact location of the robbery but said three men entered the building through a basement door.
Once inside, they approached the victim, who was holding her 10-month-old son at the time, and ordered her to put the baby down, police said.
The victim refused, and one of the men grabbed the child and threw him onto the floor, bruising his eye, police said.
The suspects then tied up the victim and took her money and jewelry before fleeing the scene.
The baby was treated and released from North Central Hospital, police said.
One suspect in the robbery is described as between 25 and 30 years old and about 170 pounds and was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jeans, black boots and a blue Yankees cap.
A second suspect, also estimated to be between 25 and 30, was wearing a reflective "road work vest," police said.
The third suspect was described as wearing blue jeans.
