Meryl Streep, Steve Carell Spice Up 'Hope Springs' Premiere in Chelsea

CHELSEA — Oscar winners Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones walked the red carpet Monday night for the premiere of their romantic-comedy "Hope Springs," starring the pair as longtime married couple trying to reignite their love life.

The actors were joined by Steve Carell, who plays the couple's counselor in the film, as well as co-star Mimi Rogers, director David Frankel and sex therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer at the SVA Theatre on West 23rd Street.

The film follows Streep and Jones' characters as they embark on a week of couples therapy in an attempt to spice up their ailing sex life.

Actors Sam Waterson and Bernadette Peters also attended the premiere.
