By Mary Johnson | August 6, 2012 1:13pm

MIDTOWN — The pins will be flying at Grand Central this week.

Teens will have a chance to bowl inside the landmark station's historic halls for what could be the biggest prize of their lives — a $64,000 college scholarship.

The 15th annual Teen Masters’ bowling championship will be held inside Grand Central’s Vanderbilt Hall on Tuesday and Wednesday. In total, the tournament will award more than $100,000 in college scholarships to competitors hailing from across the country.

This is the second year Vanderbilt Hall will host the bowling tournament. The hall, located on the south side of the terminal, also houses squash tournaments and holiday fairs and will be the future home of a new café.

The tournament is free and open to the public. Matches begin Tuesday at noon. The semifinals will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m., and the championship matches will take place at 2 p.m.
