QUEENS — The badly decomposed body of a murdered woman was found in the attic of a South Richmond Hill apartment, weeks after a man killed himself there, officials said.

Police were called to the home on the Wan Wyck Expressway and 101st Avenue at 11:40 a.m. Saturday after neighbors smelled a suspicious odor.

When they arrived, they found the victim's body inside a box in the attic.

According to the Medical Examiner's office, she had been stabbed in the torso and neck.  Her identity and age were not immediately known.

On July 20, Devendra Autar was found to have hanged himself inside the house.

According to the New York Post, Autar left a suicide note that said: "I'm going to hell for what I did."
