EAST HARLEM — A bicyclist was struck by a cab on Park Avenue in East Harlem Monday night, officials said.

The man was riding his bike at Park Avenue and East 108th Street about 7:45 p.m. when a car hit him, an FDNY spokesman said.

The bicyclist was hurt, but he was still breathing and conscious when an ambulance arrived to take him to Mount Sinai Hospital, the FDNY spokesman said. He was not likely to die, the spokesman said.

A yellow SUV cab parked at the scene of the accident had a smashed windshield and stood beside the victim's mangled bike.

Police did not immediately have information about the incident.
